First days of Spring

Paris has been blessed with such nice weather during the week. Unfortunately, I had to stay indoors at work. I had my fingers crossed it would continue throughout the weekend. It came true! It was a beautiful day to stroll around Paris and boy did I stroll…from Odeon to the east of Paris near Filles du Calvaire.

Walking along the Seine, I came across a stand with just culinary books. I assumed they were being sold at a good price but Alexandre Dumas’ first edition of Dictionnaire de Cuisine was already at 600 euros. It would have been a great book to read!

Crossing the Pont des Arts (a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Seine and where couples attach a padlock to the railing and throw the key into the river below)
A cool hip band was playing awesome music. You could only stop, watch and enjoy the music.
I later on came across this lovely and small epicerie called Francart: Maison Gourmande.
They have a nice selection of charcuterie, petits fours, cheeses and a wide variety of entrees. There’s no space to eat in, so be prepared to take away . I was told they also offer catering services for large groups and propose different styles of menus.
